Plastic Dog Carriers: Uses and Tips
These are smaller and are primarily made from plastic. Don't let that fool you, though. If you go with a good brand of dog crate carrier, it's going to be made out of something that's durable. As with collapsible dog cages and crates, you'll want to make sure that your plastic dog carrier is large enough for your pet to turn around in and lie down comfortably without having to bend. (This is especially important if you're going to be transporting your pet for a long trip.)
Good Uses for Plastic Dog Carriers
- Small Plastic Dog Carriers - These are great for smaller dogs, especially miniatures. Usually made out of two separate pieces of solid molded plastic, these dog crates come in a variety of sizes (and styles) so that no matter what kind of small dog you have, it's going to be comfortable and traveling in style.
- Medium Dog Carriers- If you're dog's crate at home is large and comfortable, you'll want to try to get a little extra room in their dog carrier so that they don't think of their traveling carrier as something that's inferior than their pet crate at home.
If you know you're going to be going on a very long trip, you're going to want to make sure that your dog is going to be as comfortable as possible. Just remember that even while you can move around, you still get uncomfortable and have to get up and stretch every once in a while. If you put yourself in the place of your pet, you can see how uncomfortable traveling must be for them. Giving them a little extra room and spending a little extra money to get high quality plastic dog carriers can really make your dog comfortable on your next journey. |
